My goal is not just to produce parrots, but produce companions that are well socialized and prepared to live in a world with humans. I honor what they are—wild birds!—and raise them with their natural biology and instincts in mind. Things like providing hiding spots for fledging babies, getting babies fully fledged and teaching them to safely navigate their world and their abilities, and teaching them to forage and play are all critical parts of my program. Nurturing them emotionally as well as physically is my priority. I take a heavy focus on buyer education as well. It is my responsibility to make every effort to ensure people have appropriate expectations for their birds and the care they need, and help them understand behaviors and troubleshoot issues with the birds they get from me.
