Description
Scientific Name: Guaruba guarouba Native Range: South America The Golden Conure, also known as the Golden Parakeet or Queen of Bavaria Conure, is a medium-sized parrot species within the family Psittacidae. It is characterized by its bright yellow plumage contrasted with green primary flight feathers. In the wild, Golden Conures inhabit humid lowland rainforests in northern Brazil, particularly within the eastern Amazon Basin. They nest in tree cavities and are often associated with forest edges and areas undergoing seasonal flooding. IUCN Conservation Status: Vulnerable At Parrot Stars, we prioritize education, welfare, and responsible parrot ownership to help ensure every bird finds and thrives in a forever home. Before taking home any parrot, we provide comprehensive guidance on proper caging and setup, positive reinforcement training, household safety, nutrition, and enrichment. Parrots in captivity are still wild animals with all their natural instincts. Your overall success and experience with any species of companion parrot is greatly impacted by positive reinforcement training. A parrot’s behavior reflects both the environment they live in and the training they receive. All of our hand-fed babies are hatched and raised in our own breeding facility and weaned onto a diverse, high-variety diet. Our parrots are never clipped and are fully flighted.
